Amplitude Pricing Plans and Cost by Event Volume in 2026
See why your users leave. Session replay, heatmaps, funnels and an AI researcher, from $99 a month.
Amplitude pricing in 2026 starts free: the Free plan covers 2 million events a month with 10,000 session replays and unlimited seats. The Plus plan lists $49 a month billed yearly or $61 billed monthly and scales to 70 million events. Growth and Enterprise are custom, event based quotes with 20,000 and 50,000 replays a month. Amplitude does not publish a price list above Plus, so your real cost depends on event volume and add ons.
The figures below come from Amplitude's own pricing page, read in November 2026. Amplitude changes plans from time to time, so confirm on amplitude.com/pricing before you commit. This article answers what a buyer actually wants to know: what will I pay at my volume, and which limit pushes me to the next plan.
Amplitude pricing at a glance
| Plan | Price | Events | Session replays a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 2M a month | 10,000 |
| Plus | From $49 a month yearly, $61 monthly | First 2M free, scales to 70M | 10,000 |
| Growth | Custom, event based | Quoted | 20,000, more as an add on |
| Enterprise | Custom, event based | Quoted | 50,000, more as an add on |
Every plan includes the full platform and unlimited seats, so you never pay per user. That is a real advantage over tools that charge for each person who opens a report. The cost follows events, which means it rises when you instrument more of your product, not only when traffic grows.
How much does Amplitude cost per month?
Amplitude costs $0 up to 2 million events a month. On Plus the page shows $49 a month billed yearly and $61 billed monthly as the entry price, and an estimator calculates the bill for higher volume. Growth and Enterprise are sold through sales with event based pricing, so there is no public number to quote.
What is included on the Free plan?
The Free plan covers 2 million events, unlimited seats, AI agents and MCP, product analytics, 10,000 monthly session replays, 5,000 agent sessions, 2,000 AI feedback records and limited experiments, guides and surveys. It does not include heatmaps, custom events and formulas, behavioral cohorts or alerts. Replay history is one month.
What does Plus add?
Plus adds custom events and formulas, 20 behavioral cohorts, alerts, heatmaps and two years of data retention. Session replay stays at 10,000 a month, so a team that outgrows the replay quota is pushed to Growth or to an add on, even if its event volume is small.
Where Amplitude plans push you to pay more
- Session replay volume. Free and Plus include 10,000 replays a month, Growth 20,000 and Enterprise 50,000. More is an add on.
- Replay history. Every plan keeps replays one month. A longer window is an add on.
- AI summaries and targeted capture. AI based summaries of replays and Targeted Replay Capture are add ons on Growth and Enterprise, not included.
- Experiments. Free and Plus allow one active experiment, Growth and Enterprise two, with more as an add on.
- Access control. Role based access controls are an add on on Growth and included only on Enterprise.
- Event growth. Autocapture and new tracking raise the event count, so the bill grows with instrumentation.
Is there a startup discount?
Yes. Amplitude lists a program where startups with under $10 million in funding and fewer than 20 employees receive one free year on the Growth plan. After that year you move to normal event based pricing, so plan the renewal before the credit ends.
Is Amplitude worth the price?
For analysts who live in behavioral cohorts, forecasting, experiments and governance, yes, and the free tier is generous. It is less convincing when the job is fixing a leaking signup or checkout, because a funnel shows where users drop and not what they saw. That needs recordings with enough history, form data and someone with time to watch, and those sit behind quotas, add ons or your own hours.
What a flat plan costs for the same job
UserExplorer is priced per plan, not per event. The first plan covers 10,000 sessions at $99 a month or $49 billed yearly. The next covers 100,000 sessions at $499 a month or $249 billed yearly, with surveys and profiles. The next covers 500,000 sessions at $1,499 monthly or $749 yearly with API access. Replay, heatmaps, funnels and field level form analytics are in every plan, replays are kept 3 to 24 months, and an AI researcher reads the recordings and reports why visitors drop off with the replays that prove it.
Amplitude wins on event depth, cohorts, experiments and governance, and UserExplorer does not try to match them. The case for adding UserExplorer is that you stop guessing about the cause of a drop. Once the cause is fixed, the pages that convert deserve more visitors, and a tool like an ad spy that shows competitors' live ads helps you see what they promise before you send paid traffic to the page.
